1755 G.B. Guadagnini Violin - Architecture In Music

1755 G.B. Guadagnini Violin

Photographic Print:

The interior of a rare violin crafted in 1755 by the renowned luthier Giovanni Battista Guadagnini in Milan. This exceptional instrument is part of the NZSO Foundation’s collection, following a generous donation from Ainsley Walter.

The photograph, a work of art by Charles Brooks, was achieved through the use of advanced medical endoscopy lenses and high-resolution Lumix cameras. In a meticulous process, Brooks combined 613 individual images to craft an optical illusion that amplifies the internal space of the violin, presenting it with the grandeur of a concert hall.
